Dr. Legerski served as Professor and Deputy Chair of the Department of Genetics, and as Chair of the Faculty Senate and its Executive Committee at MD Anderson Cancer Center, Houston TX. His research helped uncover the mechanism of DNA damage repair and its role in cancer, including in the mainstay adjuvant therapy of glioblastoma.
